Acumen Cyber has announced its expansion into Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland alongside the appointment of two new team members to support its strategic growth objectives.

The Scottish cyber security service provider aims to become a top five managed security service provider (MSSP) in the UK within the next five years. To facilitate this ambition, Graeme Lightbody has been appointed as Account Director to lead regional growth in the newly expanded areas. Lightbody brings over 20 years of sales experience, primarily within Northern Ireland's public sector, and will focus on delivering tailored solutions that address the evolving needs of clients.

"We're excited to announce these milestones in the Acumen journey. Graeme's expertise will be crucial in driving our growth in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and we will leverage his sales experience to help strengthen the Acumen brand. Isabella will be essential in advancing our digital marketing initiatives to extend Acumen's reach, build brand awareness and support our customer acquisition goals. These are exciting developments for Acumen, which demonstrates our continued success and that we are on track to realise our goals," said Mark Robertson, CRO and co-founder of Acumen.

In addition to Lightbody, Acumen has appointed Isabella Whittle as Digital Marketing Manager. With over five years of experience in digital B2B marketing, Whittle is tasked with developing and implementing strategies to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement. She will work closely with Jo McCallum, Acumen's Marketing Director, to drive the company's growth through impactful digital marketing efforts.

Acumen, described as one of Scotland's noteworthy cyber start-ups, offers a CREST accredited Security Operations Centre alongside a suite of collaborations with renowned technology companies such as CrowdStrike, Elastic, Fortinet, and Sentinel One. The company positions itself uniquely by integrating engineering expertise with a focus on viewing security as an engineering challenge, balancing technology, processes, automation, and workflows.
