Graylog appoints Jody Cire as CFO to drive AI growth

Thu, 18th Dec 2025

Security analytics specialist Graylog has appointed technology finance executive Jorda (Jody) Cire as Chief Financial Officer as the company enters what it describes as its next phase of growth.

Cire will oversee Graylog's global financial operations. His remit includes capital planning, budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, and organisational scaling. He will also act as a strategic adviser to the chief executive and board.

Graylog develops an AI-based security information and event management platform and centralised log management software. The company says more than 60,000 organisations worldwide use its products.

Growth phase

Cire joins Graylog after a series of senior finance roles at technology businesses backed by venture capital and private equity investors. His most recent role was Chief Financial Officer at InterVision Systems. NWN Corporation acquired InterVision Systems during his tenure.

He previously held CFO positions at Prescott's Inc., cloud services firm AllCloud, and security analytics vendor LogRhythm. In those roles he worked on capital raises, IPO readiness projects, and strategic sales processes.

Graylog's Chief Executive Officer Andy Grolnick said the appointment comes at a time of expansion for the business.

"Jody brings a combination of operational discipline, capital markets experience, and strategic insight to Graylog," said Andy Grolnick, CEO of Graylog. "His leadership will be instrumental as we accelerate our growth and continue to deliver an AI-powered SIEM and log management platform built for lean and outcome-driven security and IT operations teams worldwide."

The company has positioned its platform at security and IT teams that run lean operations and focus on measurable outcomes. It has incorporated explainable AI features into its products.

Financial remit

In his new role Cire will take responsibility for building financial processes and infrastructure at Graylog. The company said his work will cover both organic expansion and acquisition-led growth.

Graylog stated that Cire will advise the leadership team on long-term strategy and value creation. He will work closely with Grolnick and the board as the business scales.

Cire said he is joining the firm during what he described as a dynamic period.

"I'm excited to join Graylog at this dynamic stage of growth," said Cire. "The company has a compelling mission, strong leadership, and a vibrant culture rooted in transparency, teamwork, and innovation. I look forward to helping scale the business with financial discipline and to positioning Graylog for continued growth and strategic success."

Graylog markets its system as an AI-powered SIEM and centralised log management platform that turns large volumes of machine data into usable insight. It says the software supports security and IT teams that need faster detection and investigation of threats.

The company has described features that summarise dashboards, prioritise risks, and automate workflows. It states that users retain human oversight of these AI-led processes.

The appointment of Cire signals a focus on operational structure and capital strategy as Graylog looks at its next stage of expansion across security and IT operations markets.
