Ignition & ExtraHop join forces to boost UK cyber defences
Ignition Technology has announced a new partnership with ExtraHop, a prominent player in cloud-native network detection and response (NDR), to enhance network visibility and mitigate cyber risks for customers in the UK. This collaboration aims to leverage ExtraHop's solutions and integrate them with Ignition's existing offerings, including CrowdStrike, which was added to Ignition's portfolio earlier this year.
According to market data, the NDR sector was valued at USD $2.4 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow to USD $6.9 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 16.3%. The alliance between Ignition and ExtraHop is seen as an opportunity for UK-based channel partners to tap into this expanding market and provide customers with advanced solutions to combat escalating cyber threats, address performance issues, and tackle new vulnerabilities that evade traditional security tools.
The partnership will enable Ignition to accelerate channel growth and enhance market adoption of ExtraHop's offerings in the UK. Sean Remnant, Chief Strategy Officer at Ignition Technology, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "We are super excited to be working with the leading NDR and network visibility solution on the market. ExtraHop not only has a more feature-rich and consumable solution than others, but a sales and channel organisation that comes with years of experience and pedigree."
He added, "We're really looking forward to working together and building go-to-market offerings and ecosystems along with the likes of CrowdStrike. You can't control what you can't see and ExtraHop gives partners and customers the visibility needed to differentiate and win in a highly competitive market."
In light of this partnership, ExtraHop has made significant strides in 2024. The company secured USD $100 million in growth funding, introduced a new channel partner programme, and added new AI capabilities to the ExtraHop RevealX platform. Additionally, it unveiled its integration with CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM.
Commenting on the partnership, Tristan Elder, Vice President of Partnerships (EMEA) at ExtraHop, said, "Today, even the smallest cybersecurity incident or network outage can seriously impact an organisation's operations, resulting in lost time, productivity, and business. The ExtraHop RevealX platform empowers teams with real-time data and network insights to detect, investigate, and respond to security threats and performance issues quickly."
He further noted, "Expanding our relationship with Exclusive Networks to include Ignition will further help us extend the power of the network to reduce cyber risk and build business resilience throughout the UK."
The partnership between Ignition Technology and ExtraHop aims to bolster the capabilities of channel partners in the UK. By offering comprehensive network visibility solutions, the collaboration seeks to empower organisations to manage and mitigate cybersecurity risks effectively, thereby enhancing operational resilience and business continuity.
