Inbal Shani joins Checkmarx board to drive strategic growth
Checkmarx has announced the appointment of Inbal Shani to its Board of Directors. Shani, a well-known figure in the technology industry, brings extensive executive experience to the board. Her background includes key roles at significant technology companies such as GitHub, Amazon/AWS, and Microsoft.

Shani currently serves as the Chief Product Officer and Head of Research and Development at Twilio Communications. Over her 25-year career, Shani has garnered experience in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, cloud, and retail. Her work spans the entire technology stack, emphasising solutions that maximise business-critical outcomes for customers.

Other board members include Checkmarx's founders, Maty Siman and Emmanuel Benzaquen, and Hellman & Friedman partner, Tarim Wasim.
Shani's educational background includes a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and a B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology. Her pioneering work in applying artificial intelligence to complex technical and business problems highlights her as a significant asset to the board.
In her role at Twilio Communications, Shani leads all aspects of the company's product strategy, innovation, and software development, enhancing her already impressive portfolio of achievements. Her experience in leading research and development teams, along with marketing and go-to-market strategies, will be invaluable as Checkmarx continues to evolve and expand its market presence.
