IvedaAir draws defence & government interest worldwide

Iveda has received interest in its IvedaAir unmanned aircraft line from Fortune 500 defence contractors, government users and commercial organisations following the recent launch of the rotary wing system.

Discussions cover possible use cases in forestry, coastal and maritime monitoring, operational safety, remote infrastructure surveillance and public safety. The Arizona-based company is now working with prospective users and partners on operational requirements, platform configurations, and pathways to pilot programmes, procurement and deployment.

IvedaAir is Iveda's new line of rotary wing unmanned aircraft systems, aimed at organisations that need longer flight times and live aerial data in hard-to-reach areas, including remote terrain, coastlines and infrastructure sites.

David Ly, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Iveda, said the level of engagement since launch reflects market demand for aircraft that can stay airborne longer than many standard drones.

"The conversations taking place since the launch of IvedaAir validate what we believed when we entered this market: there is demand for longer-endurance aerial systems capable of delivering actionable intelligence in real time," Ly said.

Iveda is preparing a live flight demonstration in Arizona for invited prospective customers, strategic partners and government stakeholders. The event is intended to support evaluations by organisations already in talks with the business.

"The next step is putting the technology in the air in front of the organizations evaluating it. Our fall demonstration is designed to move these conversations from interest to evaluation-and ultimately toward real-world deployment," Ly said.

Global interest

Interest is not limited to the United States. Iveda is also seeing engagement from government bodies in Southeast Asia and through its partner network in Europe.

The wider unmanned aerial vehicle market is also expanding quickly. Research cited by the company from Fortune Business Insights projects the global market will grow from USD $47.55 billion in 2026 to USD $160.44 billion by 2034.

"IvedaAir was designed with a global opportunity in mind," Ly said.

"We already operate internationally, and we believe our existing relationships can provide meaningful pathways for introducing IvedaAir into markets where governments and enterprises are seeking more capable aerial intelligence solutions," Ly said.

Aircraft design

Iveda is positioning IvedaAir as an alternative to conventional electric quadcopter drones and larger unmanned aircraft. Its helicopter-style design is intended to offer greater endurance, stable hover operations and flexibility for different payloads.

The gas-powered GX10-F100 platform is listed by Iveda as delivering more than 150 minutes of flight time, which the company said is up to five times longer than many electric UAV systems.

IvedaAir is also designed to work with IvedaAI, the company's video intelligence platform, for monitoring, detection, tracking and incident response. Other listed features include autonomous waypoint missions, object and anomaly detection, and communications over 4G, 5G and LTE networks.

For government buyers, procurement pathways appear to be a central part of the pitch. Iveda said encrypted video transmission is enabled by DTC communication systems recently added to the Blue UAS List managed by the Defence Contract Management Agency.

The company also said the IvedaAir line complies with both the National Defence Authorisation Act and the Trade Agreements Act. It added that the system is available for government procurement through GlobalMed, which it described as a strategic partner, via the Defence Logistics Agency's Tailored Logistics Support contract vehicle.

Ly said Iveda sees a gap in the market between small, short-duration drones and larger aircraft that cost more to buy and operate.

"This is about much more than demonstrating that the aircraft can fly," Ly said.

"We intend to demonstrate how extended flight endurance, intelligent detection, real-time communications, and AI can come together as an operational platform. That is the conversation we are having with prospective users today," Ly said.

The company's immediate focus is turning early engagement into formal evaluations, pilot programmes, partnerships and orders.

"We launched IvedaAir to address a real operational gap between conventional short-duration drones and much larger, more expensive unmanned aircraft," Ly said.

"The early response is encouraging. Now our focus is converting that interest into evaluations, pilots, partnerships, procurement opportunities, and ultimately deployments," Ly said.
