James Hunnybourne appointed new executive chairman at Cybit

Cybit has announced that James Hunnybourne has been appointed as its new Executive Chairman.

James Hunnybourne brings extensive experience from his roles at major firms including IBM, Logicalis, Softcat, and Ultima. As he steps into his role at Cybit, Hunnybourne will lead the company's strategies to enhance its offerings in AI, cloud, big data, and cyber security, aiming to solidify its position in the technology solutions sector.

James Hunnybourne, while elaborating on his new position, stated: "Almost all technology providers talk about what they do—selling tools, services, and support. Few talk about why it matters. Cybit's difference is that we take the time to understand and actualise real life outcomes. We don't just sell IT; we empower businesses with information, insight, security, and transformation."

Hunnybourne's career is marked by significant achievements. At IBM, he focused on large-scale IT operations aiming at enterprise solutions for driving change. During his time at Softcat, he was responsible for building an award-winning Services Division from the very ground, which developed into a multi-million business. Most recently, at Ultima, he held the position of Chief Revenue Officer and played a key role in facilitating notable growth.

Commenting further on Cybit's approach, Hunnybourne added: "Cybit has 30 years' experience but it's our robust data and now AI driven approach to strategy, expertise at point of need and the ability to act as an extension to our clients' teams that means the solutions we provide, exceed expectations."
