Kelly McManus joins S-RM to lead global business growth

Yesterday

Kelly McManus has been appointed as the Global Business Development Lead for Insurance and Legal at cyber security and investigations consultancy, S-RM. The appointment aims to bolster the company's global cyber offering. McManus is set to focus on enhancing S-RM's relationships within the insurance and legal sectors across the United States and the United Kingdom.

McManus steps into her new role at S-RM following her previous position at Kroll, where she oversaw the development and management of insurance and law firm relationships throughout the EMEA region. Her background includes a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Rhode Island, followed by professional experiences at both Verizon and XL Catlin, which provided her with significant insights into the insurance industry before joining Kroll in 2017.

In response to her appointment, McManus said, "S-RM has an outstanding reputation, and their global reach, capabilities, and the calibre of their people are second to none. They are on an exciting growth trajectory and I'm excited to now be a part of that. I'm looking forward to developing new and existing relationships within the insurance and legal sectors in the UK and in the US."

Jamie Smith, the Board Director and Global Head of Cyber Services at S-RM, expressed enthusiasm for McManus's addition to the team. Smith stated, "We are excited to add Kelly to our team to support our growing cyber security practice. She brings outstanding experience across the insurance and legal sectors, and we are thrilled to be able to leverage her expertise to help new and existing clients navigate the evolving cyber security landscape. She will play a vital role in expanding our capabilities and footprint in the insurance and legal sectors globally."

McManus's role will primarily revolve around leveraging her extensive experience in business development within the legal and insurance realms. This appointment is indicative of S-RM's larger strategy to strengthen and expand its cyber risk services on a global scale, particularly by enhancing its connections with key sectors such as insurance and legal, which are increasingly focused on cybersecurity in their operations.

The move to bring in McManus reflects the broader trends in the cyber security industry, where emphasis is being placed on specialised knowledge and strategic partnerships to address complex security challenges faced by organisations today. By aligning with industry specialists, S-RM is positioning itself to better meet the needs of existing clients while also potentially attracting new business through its enhanced service offerings.
