Logpoint appoints Søren Grubov as SVP of Engineering

Logpoint has announced the appointment of Søren Grubov as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Engineering with a view to bolstering its technology portfolio and expanding its presence in the European market. This move aligns with Logpoint's objective to deliver high-value cybersecurity outcomes regionally.

Grubov emphasised the company's shared mission in addressing the escalating complexity and intensity of cyber threats. "The Logpoint team is passionate about finding the solutions to the cyber threat, which continues to grow in complexity and intensity as cybercrime and attacks escalate across the globe," Grubov stated. With over 20 years of experience in engineering and leadership roles at prominent organisations and scaleups, Grubov brings a wealth of expertise to Logpoint. His previous role was as VP of Engineering at Omada, a leading provider of identity governance and administration solutions. Prior to Omada, Grubov spent seven years in various leadership positions at SimCorp and 13 years at Microsoft in various engineering roles. In his new position at Logpoint, Grubov will focus on proactive product delivery grounded in high-quality technology.

Logpoint offers a Cyber Defense Platform based on Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) combined with behaviour analytics, automation, and case management technologies. These are designed to enhance threat detection, investigation, and response (TDIR) capabilities. The company's solutions are targeted at mid-market organisations and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to help them fend off cyber threats while adhering to expanding data and cybersecurity regulations across Europe.

Logpoint builds its solutions with a firm foundation in European regulatory and data protection standards. Notably, it is the only European SIEM vendor to hold a Common Criteria EAL3+ certification, signifying the robustness and preparedness of its systems against emerging threats.
