NormCyber beefs up executive team to boost European expansion
Thu, 7th Mar 2024

NormCyber, a leading specialist in risk management, has taken significant steps towards its expansion plans with the appointment of four senior executives. The new additions are part of the firm's aim to increase its presence in the enterprise market, introduce new partnerships and offerings, and extend its services to Europe.

Co-founder and former Chairman of the company, Wayne Churchill, will be assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer. Investor Rob Myers, who joined NormCyber’s board as a non-executive director in 2019 and worked hand in hand with Churchill to establish the company’s managed security service foundations, will take over as Chairman.

Boasting a rich experience in sales and business development over 18 years at Nettitude, the very esteemed Steve Sherar is introduced as the new Chief Revenue Officer. Kate Chappelle, with her impressive tenure of over 20 years leading high-performance marketing teams in the technology sector, will take on the role of Chief Marketing Officer.

These appointments come at a time of swift evolution for NormCyber, as the cyber risk management service seeks to both widen and deepen its managed cyber security and data privacy offerings, solidifying its position in the mid to enterprise market. Drawing on its success in the enterprise market - as demonstrated by its work with renowned brands such as Flamingo, One YMCA, and Ferrero - and the expansive collection of security accreditations NormCyber holds, the firm plans on investing more in direct sales and customer service while also enhancing its partnerships.

Further plans for expansion include the launch of new professional services, an out-and-out brand refresh, and the introduction of a new website. These initiatives will bolster NormCyber's ambitious growth objectives.

Wayne Churchill, the new CEO at NormCyber, expressed his excitement about taking on the role. He stated, “It’s a great privilege to take the helm of NormCyber at such a pivotal point in its history. Over the past few years, the company has gone from strength to strength, and I am confident that we can build on our solid track record of innovation and customer service excellence to achieve new heights of success as we look to execute across the whole of Europe.”

Well versed in providing businesses complete visibility and control over cyber risk since its establishment in 2015, NormCyber endeavours to persist its efforts in managing these threats, offering its exceptional 24x7x365 UK-based Security Operations Centre. With its extraordinary customer retention rate of over 95 percent, NormCyber is certainly poised to make a forceful impact on its expansion journey.
