Outpost24 becomes only European overall leader in ASM report
Outpost24 has been recognised as an Overall Leader in the 2025 KuppingerCole Leadership Compass Report for Attack Surface Management and is the only European vendor to achieve this status in the report.
The company has also been named a leader in both the Product and Market categories, marking a significant advancement from its previous position as a "Challenger" in the 2023 edition of the report.
The KuppingerCole Leadership Compass Report is known for its comprehensive overview of the Attack Surface Management (ASM) market, assisting organisations in selecting solutions that align with their cybersecurity needs.
The report evaluates market segments, vendor service functions, and methodologies for providing ASM solutions.
The 2025 edition highlights the increasing complexity of the modern attack surface, driven by the adoption of cloud services, mobile devices, APIs, Internet of Things (IoT) technology, supply chains, and shifts to remote work practices.
According to the report, these factors introduce new endpoints and potential vulnerabilities, rendering organisations more susceptible to cyber threats.
The report states that implementing ASM solutions enables organisations to identify potential vulnerabilities, assess the effectiveness of existing cybersecurity measures, and fortify their overall security arrangements. Given the evolving complexity and frequency of cyber threats, the report notes that a proactive stance on cybersecurity is now viewed as essential.
KuppingerCole identified several features that contributed to Outpost24's recognition.
These include the detection of websites and applications lacking GDPR-compliant cookie consent practices, which was described as a distinguishing feature, along with strong merger and acquisition risk analysis capabilities. Outpost24's licensing policy was also singled out, offering coverage for unlimited assets and users per organisation.
Other key aspects referenced by KuppingerCole include Outpost24's membership in the Cyber Threat Alliance, the availability of penetration testing as a service, a proprietary risk-scoring framework, and support for MITRE ATT&CK mapping.
Outpost24's external attack surface management platform is cloud-based and designed to help organisations identify, protect, and monitor their external attack surface, with an aim to improve their cyber resilience.
The platform incorporates automatic data gathering, enrichment, and AI-driven analysis modules to examine all internet-facing assets for vulnerabilities and attack trajectories, followed by clear remediation recommendations to address security gaps.
Ido Erlichman, Chief Executive Officer of Outpost24, said, "We are honoured to be named an Overall Leader in the 2025 KuppingerCole Leadership Compass Report for Attack Surface Management."
"As the modern attack surface continues to expand, organisations must take a proactive approach to protecting themselves by understanding their specific attack surface and identifying any potential vulnerabilities."
"Our ASM solutions, including recently launched Outpost24 CyberFlex, provide a comprehensive view of internal and external attack surfaces to identify unknown assets, close security gaps, prioritise risk mitigation and holistically protect organisations," he added.
Outpost24's product suite supports automatic asset discovery, vulnerability identification, and risk prioritisation, enabling security teams to address potential threats before they can be exploited.
The platform is available to organisations worldwide, with the company maintaining offices in Sweden, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, and Spain.
