Rubrik partners with Cisco to enhance cyber resilience strategies

Rubrik has announced a partnership with Cisco aimed at enhancing organisations' cyber resilience. Rubrik will integrate with Cisco XDR and join Cisco's SolutionsPlus programme. The collaboration aims to help enterprises identify targeted attacks on data and secure recovery, ensuring business continuity.

The integration of Rubrik with Cisco XDR is expected to provide comprehensive threat coverage, allowing organisations to quickly detect and stop potential data attacks. Key benefits highlight the ability to identify targeted attacks, accelerate investigation and prioritisation, enable effective recovery, and improve total cost of ownership (TCO) while simplifying lifecycle management.

Ghazal Asif Farhadi, Vice President of Global Channels, Alliances and Inside Sales at Rubrik, noted the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks. "A Rubrik Zero Labs report found that 66% of IT and security leaders report that data growth outpaces their ability to secure it and mitigate risk. Adversaries are noticing, increasing the sophistication of cyberattacks, and leveraging gaps in coverage to target critical data for destruction, theft, or extortion," she commented.

The inclusion of Rubrik in Cisco's SolutionsPlus programme adds all of Rubrik's products to Cisco's Global Price List. As part of the programme, Cisco's direct and channel sales network can offer Rubrik Security Cloud in conjunction with Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS) and Cisco XDR.

This collaboration brings additional capabilities to the enterprise-level cyber resilience strategy, with Rubrik Security Cloud on Cisco UCS being tested and pre-engineered with Cisco Validated Designs. These designs offer automated deployment, multi-site scaling, and lifecycle management through Cisco Intersight.

With this development, Rubrik is now listed on Cisco's SolutionsPlus programme, marking a strategic step towards unified computing and zero trust data security.
