S-RM appoints Casey O’Brien as Global Head of Incident Response

Thu, 27th Nov 2025

S-RM has promoted Casey O'Brien to the position of Global Head of Incident Response, as part of its strategy to strengthen its cyber security services across its international operations. O'Brien, who is based in London, is set to play a central role in enhancing the firm's 24/7 response capability throughout EMEA, APAC, and North America.

Global approach

S-RM's incident response service is focused on providing round-the-clock support for organisations facing cyber incidents no matter their location. O'Brien's new remit will emphasise collaboration between regional teams, process standardisation, and wider adoption of technology solutions to facilitate information sharing and faster response times.

In support of this, O'Brien will work directly with Joani Green, Chief Information Officer, to refine operational protocols and ensure teams across geographic regions can deliver coordinated services without delay. This emphasis on global integration is intended to help clients receive specialist support quickly and reduce operational disruption during cyber crises.

Increased demand

The promotion comes against a backdrop of rising demand for incident response services as cyber incidents become more complex. S-RM continues to expand its cyber security practice to handle rapid-response needs, including digital forensics, threat intelligence, and crisis management. The need for seamless and multi-disciplinary capabilities reflects the current climate, where clients increasingly require providers with international reach and deep operational expertise.

Operational focus

O'Brien's priorities include tightening coordination across S-RM's international teams by sharpening established processes and integrating the latest technology tools. By streamlining response protocols and adopting more efficient information sharing practices, the group aims to provide quicker, clearer resolutions for clients impacted by incidents.

"In my new role, my focus is to bring our global team even closer together, working more effectively as one unit. Alongside Joani, I'll be sharpening the processes that enable fast, coordinated responses across time zones. We'll continue to expand our use of technology so our investigators and delivery teams can work more efficiently, providing clients with clearer answers at pace and helping them return to normal operations quickly. I'm excited to continue working with some of the most talented people in the industry and to help build a truly global incident response practice. We have a team that is collaborative and committed to excellence, and I'm proud to be part of it."

O'Brien's appointment is the latest development in S-RM's ongoing investment in its international cyber security team, which now spans nine global offices and supports a wide range of organisations, including large financial institutions and blue-chip corporates.
