SentinelOne launches Singularity Cloud Security in the EU
SentinelOne has announced the general availability of Singularity Cloud Native Security within the European Union. Provided from SentinelOne's Frankfurt availability zone, the cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) aims to secure cloud operations comprehensively while addressing GDPR requirements such as data residency and compliance measurement.
The solution builds on SentinelOne's Singularity Platform. It offers an agentless CNAPP that has garnered acclaim, recently rated as the best in the industry by real users in the 2024 G2 Summer Grid Reports. The platform is designed to filter out non-exploitable issues and automate the red-teaming of identified issues. This functionality aims to help cloud security professionals prioritise critical matters effectively.
According to the company, all security telemetry from an organisation's cloud operations is aggregated into the Singularity Data Lake. SentinelOne's proprietary AI processes this data to generate actionable insights, streamline investigations, and enable rapid response actions to preemptively thwart attacks.
Users of the platform have reported significant benefits. A DevSecOps Engineer from an enterprise technology company shared their experience on PeerSpot, stating, "Since implementing Cloud-Native Security, our risk posture has greatly improved, and we are more compliant. The solution has built-in compliance benchmarks for various regulatory standards. We were around 60% compliant when we started, and now we're at more than 95%."
Similarly, Lakshay Aggarwal, an application security manager at a technology company, noted, "We noted immediate benefits from using the solution. We are 96% to 97% compliant, and our mean time to detect has been reduced. And we have not noticed any false positives."
Ely Kahn, Vice President of Cloud Security at SentinelOne, elaborated on the motivations behind the technology's rollout in Europe. "At SentinelOne, we understand the unique challenges to securing cloud environments, and our solutions are purpose-built to overcome them," he said.
"The rollout of Singularity Cloud Native Security in Europe is a sign of our commitment to providing our customers with leading-edge technology that enables them to bolster their defences and comply with the strict regulatory mandates they face."
The introduction of Singularity Cloud Native Security in the European Union provides SentinelOne's customers with a solution designed to meet GDPR requirements and enhance cloud security. By leveraging AI to process security telemetry and prioritise critical issues, the platform aims to improve compliance and streamline incident response. Hosted in both the U.S. and EU availability zones, Singularity Cloud Native Security is now accessible to organisations seeking to strengthen their cloud operations.
