Westcon-Comstor & Check Point launch API to automate renewals
Westcon-Comstor has launched a renewal API in collaboration with Check Point Software, aiming to streamline the process for channel partners across EMEA. This integration targets reduction of turnaround times and an overall increase in operational efficiency for partners handling cybersecurity renewals.
Renewal efficienciesThe renewal API eliminates the need for manual data entry, thereby reducing the likelihood of errors and allowing partner teams to focus on core business activities. The system automates much of the previous quote generation process, with the stated benefit of getting renewal quotations to partners and customers more quickly. The new solution is designed with scalability in mind, supporting projected volume growth as adoption increases.
Partner benefitsWestcon-Comstor said partners are already seeing outcomes such as reduced operational workload, faster response times, and direct financial value from the API-led automation. The company is positioning this as the first such automated renewal system delivered for Check Point through a distributor in the EMEA region.
Automated data flow ensures that information exchanged between Westcon-Comstor and its partners is up-to-date, consistent, and less susceptible to manual error. This process accelerates the quote-to-cash cycle, allowing channel partners to allocate resources to other revenue-generating activities.
Operational focusPilot implementation of the renewal API has followed seven months of development and collaboration between the two organisations. The solution supports partners by improving the efficiency of renewals, often cited in the channel as a key step for maintaining customer relationships and recurring revenue.
Westcon-Comstor's move to automate the renewals process supports broader trends in digital transformation within the technology distribution sector. The system has been built to manage increasing transaction volumes as the partnership scales, reinforcing a shift toward more data-driven, automated channel operations.
“I’m incredibly proud of what our teams have accomplished together,” said Marianne Nickenig, Vice President, Revenue Operations Europe, Westcon-Comstor. “Pioneering this renewal API with a strategic partner like Check Point showcases the technical excellence and spirit of collaboration that drives our business. This is a crucial step in our commitment to automating the entire quote-to-cash process and simplifying operations for our partners - allowing them to focus on creating value for their customers. With partners seeking to optimise revenue at every stage of the solution lifecycle, renewals are an increasingly strategic priority and it’s our role as a value-added distributor to facilitate growth through initiatives such as this.”Collaboration approach
The automation project is intended as part of an ongoing initiative between Westcon-Comstor and Check Point Software to enhance efficiency within their joint channel ecosystem. The companies’ aim is to make business transactions simpler for mutual partners, particularly as digital operations become more important for IT distributors, vendors and resellers.
Automation and visibility improvements are expected to help partners make more informed decisions, potentially improving their ability to service end customers more effectively over time. The renewal API is being viewed as a foundation for additional automation projects between the two firms.
“The value this new API brings to our joint partners is immense,” said Sylvia Fath, Head of Distribution EMEA, Check Point Software. “By simplifying our operational processes, we are making it easier than ever for partners to do business with us. This achievement is a testament to the strength of our partnership with Westcon-Comstor and accelerates our joint automation initiatives. We look forward to building on this success to deliver even more innovation and efficiency to our channel.”
