Coro has partnered with Italian managed service provider Activa Digital, expanding its reach in Italy.

Under the agreement, Activa Digital will offer Coro's workspace cybersecurity platform to customers in Italy. The platform combines endpoint, email, cloud, network, identity and data protection in a single system, alongside security awareness training.

The deal gives Coro another local channel as it builds its business in Italy. It follows the company's earlier alliance with PwC Italy, which focused on cybersecurity advisory work and regulatory compliance.

Italy has become an important market for cyber suppliers as organisations respond to tougher European rules and a wider need to manage security with limited internal resources. Coro's platform is aimed at organisations with lean IT teams and managed service providers that deliver outsourced support.

For Activa Digital, the partnership broadens its cybersecurity offering. The company provides services including threat prevention, continuous monitoring and incident management, and adding Coro's software gives it a wider product set to sell to customers.

The platform is designed to replace separate tools with a unified service and central dashboard. Coro says the system uses a single AI agent to detect and remediate threats automatically, reflecting demand for fewer standalone security products and less manual administration.

Italy focus

Coro's earlier partnership with PwC Italy was framed around helping organisations address requirements linked to NIS2, the European Union directive intended to strengthen cyber risk management across critical sectors. The rules affect a wide range of industries, including energy, healthcare, digital infrastructure and public administration.

The company cited an estimate that around 160,000 organisations across the EU are affected by the directive. It also referred to research from the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, which found that 70% of organisations now cite regulatory compliance as the main driver of cybersecurity investment.

That backdrop helps explain why suppliers are combining software sales with advisory and managed services. In Coro's case, the PwC Italy relationship addresses compliance and resilience consulting, while the Activa Digital partnership adds a managed services route to market.

For Activa Digital, the agreement fits its established focus on digital workflow and infrastructure support. The company works with modular service models, and cybersecurity has become a larger part of that mix as clients seek to protect data and systems without adding complexity to day-to-day operations.

"We are thrilled to partner with Activa Digital to bring our unified cybersecurity platform to a broader audience of Italian businesses," said Ingo Schaefer, Vice President of EMEA at Coro.

"Activa Digital's commitment to delivering integrated and innovative digital workflows makes them an ideal partner. Together, we are eliminating the complexity and alert fatigue that organisations with lean IT teams face, allowing them to secure their entire digital workspace effortlessly and scale with confidence," Schaefer said.

Channel strategy

The partnership also reflects the importance of managed service providers in the cybersecurity market, particularly among mid-sized organisations that do not maintain large in-house security teams. Providers such as Activa Digital increasingly act as both advisers and operators, selecting technology platforms that can be delivered as a service to multiple customers.

Vendors, in turn, rely on these partners to enter local markets, adapt products to customer needs and provide support after deployment. In countries such as Italy, where regulatory demands are rising and many companies operate with constrained IT resources, that model can be especially attractive.

Pierluca Zangari, Enterprise Infrastructure Manager at Activa Digital, said the company sees the agreement as a way to extend protection across several parts of a customer's technology estate while avoiding a patchwork of separate tools.

"At Activa Digital, our mission is to empower our clients with seamless, modular solutions that drive their digital transformation securely," said Pierluca Zangari, Enterprise Infrastructure Manager at Activa Digital.

"By adding Coro's AI-driven platform to our portfolio, we can provide enterprise-grade cybersecurity spanning endpoints, cloud and email, without the operational overhead of managing multiple fragmented tools. This partnership ensures our customers can focus on growth while we keep their digital environments protected," Zangari said.
