Everfox to acquire Garrison Technology, enhancing cybersecurity
Everfox has announced an agreement to purchase London-based Garrison Technology. This transaction is currently subject to regulatory review and customary closing conditions, with an anticipated completion in the summer.
Sean Berg, CEO of Everfox, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition. "Everfox entered 2024 with great momentum, with the separation from Forcepoint and standing up Everfox. We are continuing our focus on growth and innovation and are excited to add Garrison's (hardsec) solutions to our portfolio," said Berg. "We have been working with Garrison as a partner for several years and have found their technology to be a natural complementary extension of the solutions we offer customers today."
The acquisition will integrate Garrison's hardware-enforced security (hardsec) capabilities into Everfox's existing suite of cross-domain, Content Disarm & Reconstruction (CDR), and insider risk solutions. The aim is to offer a broader set of innovative cybersecurity solutions to enterprise customers, particularly in government and regulated industries. Garrison has built a reputation for its trusted technology among global national governments, critical infrastructure, and enterprise commercial customers.
David Garfield, co-founder and CEO of Garrison Technology, commented on the alignment of goals between the two companies. "We created Garrison to develop nation-state level security technologies that enable the most sensitive Government missions to operate efficiently in a digital world, and to then extend the availability of these solutions out to critical infrastructure and enterprise customers," said Garfield. "Everfox and Garrison share a similar mission, and we are confident the combination of our complementary hardsec solutions with Everfox's portfolio will accelerate the delivery of high-assurance security that can really make a difference for our customers."
Tim Millikin, a Partner at TPG, also emphasised the increasing complexity of the operating environment for defence and intelligence communities, highlighting the growing frequency of cyber threats from sophisticated actors. "Garrison's distinctive technology paired with Everfox's expertise and history in government security create a powerful solution to further global resilience," said Millikin.
The announcement comes at a time when cybersecurity concerns are increasingly critical for government sectors and enterprises worldwide. The integration of Garrison's hardsec technology is expected to enhance the cybersecurity infrastructure that Everfox provides, particularly in safeguarding critical data and networks.
Everfox, headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, operates additional offices in Champagne, Illinois; Richardson, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Malvern, United Kingdom. The acquisition is part of Everfox's broader strategy to bolster its capabilities in high-assurance cybersecurity solutions and expand its market reach.
