Immersive Labs partners with DoD for enhanced cyber training
Immersive Labs, a global leader in people-centric cyber resilience, has announced its partnership with the Department of Defense (DoD) via an integration with the Ultimate Knowledge Institute's (UKi) OpenDash360 Platform. The partnership will allow DoD personnel access to Immersive Labs' innovative cyber exercises. Immersive Labs' CEO and Founder, James Hadley, said, "Together with UKi, we are equipping military personnel with capabilities needed to effectively combat cyber threats and bolster the nation's defence."
Immersive Labs' red team and blue team content are now accessible on the DoD's Cyber Mission Force Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE). The PCTE provides essential training for the US Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) and is utilised by Joint Cyberspace Operations Forces for individual sustainment training, team certification, and mission rehearsal. It also lays the groundwork for collective training exercises.
UKi, the key training and assessment provider for PCTE, is leading a shift in the way military cybersecurity teams are trained. The collaboration with Immersive Labs aligns with their mission of assisting organisations in staying ahead of constant threats through superior cyber training and individualised learning labs. UKi's CEO, Tony Akers, said, "The partnership helps us deliver on our mission of helping organisations stay ahead of ever-present threats with the best cyber training and custom learning labs the industry has to offer."
The partnership comes in response to a rise in cyberattacks targeting the human element. Hadley stated, "With cyber attacks targeting the human element on the rise, we are proud to offer the DoD access to cutting-edge cyber resilience content." This will be achieved through Immersive Labs' tailored learning experiences for agencies and teams, run on a regular basis in a similar way to live fire drills.
Immersive Labs is a trusted partner for some of the world's most significant organisations and governments, including Citi, Pfizer, Humana, HSBC, the UK Ministry of Defence, and the UK National Health Service. The company uses a tailored approach to continuously assess, build, and prove cyber capabilities relevant to individual roles. It also ensures the teams are kept ahead of a perpetually evolving threat landscape so they can effectively prevent and respond to cyber threats.
In sum, Immersive Labs' partnership with the Department of Defense, through the integration with UKi's OpenDash360 Platform, creates an avenue for enhanced cyber training. This initiative is designed to arm military personnel with the necessary skills to combat cyber threats effectively, thereby strengthening the nation's defense.
