Kyndryl launches Microsoft AI hub to drive enterprise innovation
Kyndryl has launched the Kyndryl Microsoft Acceleration Hub to support enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence and accelerate digital transformation.
The Acceleration Hub was developed in close collaboration with Microsoft. It utilises Kyndryl Consult services and Kyndryl Vital co-creation and technical expertise to assist the deployment of agentic AI solutions using Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and Copilot technologies across the Microsoft suite.
AI adoption
The new Hub is intended to build industry-specific solutions designed to improve efficiency and unlock new business value for enterprise customers.
As part of its strategy, Kyndryl will focus on using agentic AI to enhance customer operations by developing tailored digital applications specific to industry requirements.
The Acceleration Hub will operate through both physical and virtual innovation labs globally, including Kyndryl's new AI Innovation Lab in Liverpool.
These locations will provide collaborative environments for ideation, prototyping, and deploying AI solutions for customers across different industries and regions.
"We are confidently doubling down on our successful collaboration with Microsoft because we know that the combination of Kyndryl Consult expertise with Microsoft technologies is a powerful duo that will help customers reap the benefits of AI, drive innovation, and achieve meaningful business outcomes," said Ismail Amla, Global Leader, Kyndryl Consult.
According to Stephen Boyle, Global Leader, SI & Advisory Partners, Microsoft, the Hub marks a step forward in the ongoing partnership and is set to support enterprise clients in implementing AI effectively.
"Kyndryl's Microsoft Acceleration Hub represents the next evolution of our strategic collaboration and a shared commitment to helping enterprise customers unlock the full potential of AI," Boyle said.
"By combining Kyndryl's deep industry expertise with Microsoft's trusted cloud and AI capabilities, we're empowering organizations to accelerate innovation, improve operational efficiency and achieve meaningful transformation at scale."
Workforce skills
Kyndryl's approach includes significant investment in workforce training focused on Microsoft technologies.
The company reports that more than 16,000 Kyndryl employees have achieved over 26,000 Microsoft certifications. This skilled workforce is intended to support the delivery of services based on Microsoft Azure cloud, data platforms, security, and modern workplace solutions to enterprise clients.
Kyndryl is also working to embed agentic AI into its global infrastructure services and delivery operations. The aim is to help customers leverage the Microsoft technology stack more fully, introducing greater autonomy and more advanced decision-making capabilities within their digital environments.
Customer perspective
Care Safety Innovations is among the customers sharing early feedback on the Hub's aims.
Anders Bjørnrud, Chief Technology Officer of Care Safety Innovations, commented, "As a customer, we are thrilled about the Kyndryl Microsoft Acceleration Hub's transformative potential and believe it can help streamline our adoption and application of AI and enable better services for our customers. The cutting-edge capabilities that Kyndryl and Microsoft are providing will assist with providing smarter and more efficient home care to patients and the caregivers who support them."
Microsoft achievements
Kyndryl has recently been recognised with the AI Platform on Microsoft Azure specialisation and has renewed its status as an Azure Expert Managed Services Partner.
The latter is described as the highest status available for service providers within Microsoft's global partner ecosystem; less than 2% of Microsoft partners are granted this designation.
The Kyndryl Microsoft Acceleration Hub intends to enable enterprises to explore, pilot, and implement AI-backed solutions across industries with access to collective technical expertise from both Kyndryl and Microsoft resources.
