Netcompany launches VERÁ to boost European defence resilience

Fri, 10th Oct 2025

Netcompany has introduced VERÁ, a new commercial platform intended to support European defence and resilience through advanced data integration and situational awareness capabilities.

Developed after five years focused on digital twin technology for sectors including airports, transportation, and energy, VERÁ marks Netcompany's entry into defence-specific applications. The platform is designed to respond to destabilisation campaigns and rapid-response challenges faced by European governments, offering an alternative to non-European and traditional software providers in this field.

European context

Recent years have seen Europe confronted by threats such as cyber-attacks, sabotage, and disinformation campaigns. These incidents highlight the need for coordinated and real-time responses across both civil and military sectors. In this context, Netcompany presents VERÁ as a solution capable of providing a unified overview and improving operational coordination in response to hybrid threats.

According to the company, VERÁ is based on its PULSE platform, which is already deployed at European airports, infrastructure hubs, and public institutions. The system integrates and orchestrates data across domains to create a consistent and scalable solution for defence and resilience applications.

Platform details

VERÁ facilitates instant connectivity and interoperability between existing national systems and infrastructure. It enables the creation of a digital twin of the defence ecosystem, consolidating real-time data, alerts, visuals, and context onto a single interface. This is intended to support users in understanding ongoing developments, underlying causes, and potential responses more efficiently and effectively.

"We have built one of the most advanced digital platforms to monitor and optimise civil complex eco-systems like airports, energy, and logistic hubs. This technology fits perfectly into the overall resilience and defence industry where the need of monitoring, analysing, orchestrating, and acting in real-time with the help of AI is crucial" says André Rogaczewski, CEO and Co-founder of Netcompany.

The platform is founded on open standards and open integration principles, with the intention of giving clients full autonomy and transparency over their data. Netcompany states that each process within the platform is transparent, explainable, and auditable, aiming to provide clients with the flexibility required to address changing security environments.

Digital sovereignty

"Given the multifaceted nature of today's threats, European nations must not only respond effectively but also safeguard their digital sovereignty by maintaining control over their digital assets. We need to develop and trust our homegrown technologies in order to guarantee both security and full control of our data," he continues.

Netcompany asserts that VERÁ's European foundation is a key feature in ensuring data security and sovereignty for its users, addressing concerns over reliance on non-European defence technologies and providers. The company claims that by offering real-time, data-driven insights, VERÁ can help protect societies against a range of evolving threats, from cyber warfare to environmental disasters and emergencies.

Enhanced response capabilities

"Our aim with VERÁ has from the very beginning been to provide the ability to quickly build a digital capability to see the full picture across sectors. Modern warfare is more than missiles, tanks, and drones. Today, overall alertness - the ability to react fast across sectors and assets, isolate incidents, and restore balance - is of crucial importance. This is our first line of defence", says André Rogaczewski, CEO and Co-founder of Netcompany.

The company reports that the underlying technology has already been adopted by several private sector organisations and public authorities across Europe. Netcompany states that VERÁ will now be available for deployment in EU member states to help establish a coordinated response mechanism for hybrid threats and emerging challenges that may cross national borders.

The platform's stated emphasis on client autonomy, integration capabilities, and real-time insights reflects wider trends in European digital transformation and cybersecurity approaches within critical infrastructure sectors.

Netcompany's launch of VERÁ intends to support national and cross-border resilience through a platform that is designed and developed in Europe and tailored for the region's specific defence and security requirements.
