Redsquid acquires Cyberseer to boost 24/7 cyber protection
Redsquid has acquired UK cybersecurity provider Cyberseer, consolidating its position as a managed services provider with integrated IT, cloud and cybersecurity capabilities. This is the company's fifth acquisition in 2025, as it seeks to bring managed detection and response (MDR) and automation technology under one offering for UK businesses.
Integrated operations
The acquisition brings a fully integrated Security Operations Centre (SOC) and 24/7 MDR capability to Redsquid. The service is powered by ASPECT, Cyberseer's proprietary automation platform. ASPECT connects to a range of security technologies, including Darktrace, Exabeam, Google SecOps, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender and CrowdStrike, through API integration.
The system automates a substantial portion of alert discovery and triage, handling lower-level incidents without intervention. Alerts that require further analysis are escalated to a SOC team comprised of Level 3 analysts, who receive additional threat intelligence and context from the ASPECT platform. The team provides continuous coverage to maintain operational readiness and respond to threats around the clock.
Leadership expansion
The move also sees Adrian Hunt, co-founder and director of Cyberseer, join Redsquid as Chief Security Officer. Redsquid is expanding its development team to enhance and maintain its proprietary intellectual property, aiming to support ongoing improvements in its cybersecurity offering and keep pace with evolving threats.
Technology and expertise
Cyberseer, founded in 2014, has specialised in using machine learning, behavioural analytics and human insight for threat management. Combining these technologies with Redsquid's existing managed services portfolio is expected to provide organisations with a single partner for IT, cloud and security.
"This is a transformation that changes everything," said Sohin Raithatha, CEO, Redsquid. "No other UK MSSP unites IT, cloud, and cybersecurity capabilities with a proprietary 24/7 MDR platform and does so as a certified B Corp and Cyber Essentials Governing Body. It's proof that innovation, integrity, and accountability can coexist. Our mission is to give UK organisations complete confidence in their technology, knowing every layer is monitored, protected, and managed by a partner committed to both performance and purpose."
Customer confidence
Cyberseer's SOC service, built around the ASPECT platform, is intended to enhance customers' visibility and confidence in their cybersecurity defences, providing an automated and human-led approach to threat detection and response, and integrating with established managed IT and cloud services.
"Our SOC and ASPECT platform were built to give customers visibility and confidence in their cybersecurity. With Redsquid, we can take that vision further, integrating advanced detection and response with best-in-class managed IT and cloud," said Garath Lauder, Co-founder and Director, Cyberseer.
B Corp commitment
Redsquid, established in 2006 and certified as a B Corp, focuses on technology solutions with a stated commitment to sustainability and a people-focused approach. The acquisition of Cyberseer is intended to strengthen its automation-led cybersecurity portfolio and build a broader suite of enterprise-grade managed services. The company is also a Cyber Essentials Governing Body and has partnerships with software vendors including Microsoft and Google.
