Redsquid launches 24/7 managed SOC after Cyberseer purchase
Redsquid has unveiled a proprietary 24/7 managed Security Operations Centre (SOC) aimed at expanding its cybersecurity capabilities across the UK. The development follows the acquisition of Cyberseer, a managed security service provider known for its expertise in threat detection, incident response, and compliance.
Acquisition impact
The integration of Cyberseer into Redsquid has accelerated the latter's transition from a managed service provider to a full-scale managed security service provider. The SOC combines the ASPECT automation platform with a team of security analysts to deliver round-the-clock monitoring, fast incident response, and advanced analytics. The company states that it is the only B Corp certified managed security service provider in the UK with proprietary SOC capability.
Automation and analytics
The new SOC intends to tackle several cybersecurity issues, including alert overload and increasingly sophisticated threats that require constant vigilance. The facility uses automation to streamline alert management and relies on human analysts to interpret and act on high-priority incidents quickly. According to the company, the SOC achieves threat acknowledgement within one minute and delivers response times averaging 14 minutes.
Industry requirements
The solution is designed to address growing demands on organisations, such as meeting regulatory standards for compliance and maintaining oversight across a complex technology environment. The SOC aims to provide coverage across all layers of the technology stack. It also targets budgetary concerns by providing managed services that aim to offer cost efficiency without forfeiting expertise.
Executive statements
"Organisations today face an overwhelming volume of security alerts and increasingly sophisticated threats that don't respect business hours. Our 24/7 Managed SOC solution combines advanced automation with expert human analysis to detect and respond to priority threats in minutes, not hours," said Adrian Hunt, Chief Security Officer, Redsquid.
Sohin Raithatha, Chief Executive Officer, Redsquid, outlined the broad ambition for the company's direction following its latest acquisition.
"With our most recent acquisitions, Redsquid has officially redefined what it means to be a Managed Service Provider. We've become a full-scale Managed Security Service Provider, complete with our own Security Operations Centre and proprietary cybersecurity technology. No other UK MSP can say that. No one else offers the same depth of managed IT, cloud, and cybersecurity, all under one roof, powered by our own IP. That's not just growth; that's a leap forward," said Raithatha.
