RegScale appoints Chad Woolf as Chief Product Officer for growth
RegScale has announced the appointment of Chad Woolf as Chief Product Officer, tasking him with driving product strategy and scaling its continuous controls monitoring platform.
Woolf brings over twenty years of experience in information security governance and compliance, with a significant track record that includes fourteen years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as Vice President of Security. During his tenure at AWS, Woolf established global compliance functions and enabled the company's adoption across regulated industries by aligning with frameworks such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, GDPR, and DORA.
Before joining AWS, Woolf spent more than a decade at EY, helping technology companies develop and execute security programmes. Most recently, he served as Chief Strategy Officer at Coalfire Systems, where he advised both technology and banking sector clients on cybersecurity and compliance strategies.
Leadership remarks
"Chad brings unmatched expertise in building and scaling global compliance programs. From launching legacy GRC programs at EY, to building AWS's compliance functions from the ground up, to advising the world's largest tech companies at Coalfire, Chad has been at the forefront of every major wave in compliance modernization. His leadership will be instrumental in guiding RegScale's next phase of growth and ensuring our customers can transform compliance into a true business accelerator," said Travis Howerton, Co-Founder and CEO of RegScale.
Woolf is set to guide RegScale in modernising compliance processes for enterprises by focusing on automation of evidence collection and reducing operational burdens. Central to his mandate will be helping Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) operationalise risk and enhancing the efficiency of business leaders and engineering teams in meeting regulatory requirements.
"I've seen firsthand how complex global compliance programs that are properly scaled can work hand-in-hand with engineering teams to catapult the business into new markets. RegScale is enabling customers to manage large, complex compliance programs by using new automation tooling and applying AI in a way that accelerates the business. We're empowering CISOs to run compliance as code, and by doing so helping them make a huge leap in security operation observability as well as minimizing costs, eliminating inefficiencies, and generating real-time risk insights. This is the future of how security assurance should work," Woolf said.
During his previous roles, Woolf built compliance functions from inception and scaled them to meet the requirements of rapidly growing global organisations. His efforts have included guiding companies through complex regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions and supporting business growth into new markets through effective risk management.
In addition, RegScale has recently completed an oversubscribed Series B funding round and achieved FedRAMP High Authorisation, sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Industry reaction
"We couldn't be more pleased-for the company and for Chad. It's a perfect fit. RegScale is bringing much-needed innovation to the compliance industry, and now we gain the benefit of a global leader in Chad. His experience building scaled compliance systems at Amazon positions us to deliver unmatched value to our customers," said Alex Tosheff, industry veteran and advisor to RegScale.
RegScale's platform is designed to help CISOs operationalise risk and modernise governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) functions. The platform applies an API-first approach and automates compliance workflows, a move expected to benefit heavily regulated organisations that include Fortune 500 enterprises and governmental entities.
With Woolf at the helm of product strategy, RegScale aims to empower organisations in various sectors to innovate rapidly while ensuring operational risk is managed in accordance with the highest regulatory standards.
