Resilience named as National Cyber Resilience Centre Group Ambassador
The National Cyber Resilience Centre Group (NCRCG) has proudly declared Resilience, the cyber risk solution company, as its newest National Ambassador. The pivotal role entails stimulating recognition of the significance of cyber resilience within the commercial and third-sector communities.
Resilience now finds itself in the distinguished company of other Ambassador enterprises such as Aviva, Microsoft, KPMG, and NatWest Group. Carving its niche within the sector since its inception in 2016 in the US, Resilience aids finance, risk and information security leaders in ameliorating their organisations' cyber resilience.
Resilience excels in its field by proactively pinpointing, rating, and resolving the most financially damaging risk to companies. This framework of communicating risk in monetary terms at an executive and board level cultivates cross-functional receptiveness to a shared organisational goal. The primary objective is to retain resilience against considerable losses while continuing to provide value to clients, preserve business continuity, and minimise losses.
The Ambassadorial responsibility expresses Resilience's broader pledge to disseminate its knowledge and insights, incorporate cyber resilience across the UK economy, and facilitate the private sector's strategic engagement with government entities.
Simon West, Director of Customer Engagement at Resilience, underlined the effort needed for enterprises to reorient their perspective from insurance and security to cyber resilience, asserting, "Behavioural change in organisations takes time. It's a mindset shift."
Detective Superintendent Ian Kirby, CEO at NCRCG, warmly welcomed Resilience into the esteemed roster of organisations driving to enhance cyber resilience in the UK economy. "To continue to strengthen the cyber resilience of our nation's small and medium-sized businesses, we believe it's vital to pool the knowledge and experience of experts across the private sector," said Kirby.
The inclusion of Resilience in the National Ambassador programme marks an important milestone in the ongoing endeavour against cybercrime. The NCRCG's widespread reach is enabled by its nine cyber resilience centres across England and Wales. These hubs offer affordable, top-tier cyber resilience services to local organisations under the professional supervision of cyber security practitioners.
Resilience's integration into the National Ambassador programme signifies a significant step forward in NCRCG's mission. This strategic collaboration between the Home Office, policing, National Ambassador partners and academia endeavours to bolster cyber resilience across the nation's small and medium-sized enterprise communities. Significantly, every large organisation participating in the programme steers the collective effort in combating cybercrime.
