Rubrik launches CXO Visionaries for cyber & AI leaders

Tue, 20th Jan 2026

Rubrik has launched a new executive community called CXO Visionaries for senior IT and security leaders at large enterprises, as organisations report sustained levels of cyberattacks and growing concern about identity-driven threats linked to AI adoption.

Rubrik said the invitation-only group targets CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs from Fortune 500 and Enterprise 2000 organisations. The company positioned the community as a peer network for executives dealing with cyber resilience and AI operational issues.

Rubrik Zero Labs research cited by the company found that 90 per cent of IT and security leaders said their organisation experienced a cyberattack in the last year. Of those surveyed, 18 per cent said they experienced a cyberattack more than 25 times. The research also found that 58 per cent believe agentic AI will drive half or more attacks in the coming year.

The company also highlighted data specific to Australia. Rubrik said Rubrik Zero Labs found that 99 per cent of Australian organisations have already integrated or plan to integrate AI models or AI agents into their identity infrastructure. It also said 98 per cent of local security leaders report identity-driven attacks as their top concern, which Rubrik described as the highest globally.

Rubrik said 90 per cent of IT and security leaders reported experiencing a cyberattack in the past year. In Australia, Rubrik said 95 per cent of organisations that experienced a ransomware attack paid the ransom. It said this ranked behind Singapore at 97 per cent.

Rubrik framed the launch of the community in the context of preparedness and shared learning among security leaders. It said CXO Visionaries gives members access to peers facing similar challenges and a forum for sharing strategies and insights in real time.

Rubrik also pointed to changes in recovery expectations. It cited Rubrik Zero Labs findings that in 2025, 28 per cent of organisations believe they can fully recover from a cyber incident in 12 hours or less. It compared that with 43 per cent in 2024.

Kavitha Mariappan, Chief Transformation Officer at Rubrik, linked the community to the pressures facing senior executives across governance and innovation.

"Today's CXOs are operating at the intersection of security, privacy, compliance, and innovation - where decisions directly shape competitive advantage and trust," said Kavitha Mariappan, Chief Transformation Officer, Rubrik. "Yet confidence in resilience is declining. Rubrik Zero Labs found that in 2025, only 28 per cent of organisations believe they can fully recover from a cyber incident in 12 hours or less, down from 43 per cent in 2024. We are at a critical juncture that demands we move beyond remediation toward anticipatory innovation. By bringing leaders across cybersecurity and AI together, we're enabling practical insight and clearer decision-making for what comes next."

Named members

Rubrik listed initial participants from sectors including insurance, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and infrastructure. Members named by the company include Adam Page, Chief Security Officer at Zurich North America, Andrew Albrecht, Chief Information Security Officer at Domino's, Chuck Markarian, Chief Information Security Officer at PACCAR, Mark Odom, CTO & CISO at Jefferson, Ravi Ramaraj, Chief Technology Officer at Wastequip, Steven Ramirez, CISO & CTO at Renown Health, and Yew Jin Kang, Chief Technology Officer at PLUS Malaysia.

Page described the community as a forum for comparing approaches to complex threats and decision-making.

It follows wider industry debate about how boards and executive teams measure resilience, particularly as more business functions rely on identity systems and automation. Identity-based attacks remain a common route into networks, and organisations continue to face pressure around recovery timelines, business interruption, and ransom demands.

"Cyber resilience is no longer just an IT responsibility - it's a business requirement," said Adam Page, Chief Security Officer, Zurich North America. "As the threat landscape grows more complex, the hardest part isn't awareness - it's knowing which decisions actually matter. Being part of the CXO Visionaries community gives me access to peers who are facing the same realities, sharing what's working, and pressure-testing strategies in real time. That perspective is invaluable as we work to lead with confidence and resilience."

Rubrik said the CXO Visionaries group will focus on cyber resilience and AI-related operational challenges across large organisations.
