Trustifi launches automated data loss prevention tool for MSPs

Wed, 21st Aug 2024

Trustifi has unveiled a new automated data loss prevention (DLP) tool designed to streamline operations for managed service providers (MSPs). This new feature allows MSPs to implement pre-configured rules for various industries, including healthcare, financial services, education, and general global business, with a single click.

This development addresses the growing demand for efficient email security solutions across different verticals. The automated rules have been crafted based on best practices derived from extensive research conducted on hundreds of network systems within these industries. The newly added tool aims to save time and effort for users by facilitating the easy adoption of commonly used DLP rules.

Data loss prevention plays a crucial role in helping administrators control how email content is handled and shared outside an organisation. These rules help minimise the risk of exposing sensitive information, such as personal identification details or financial data, by blocking potentially risky email-sharing activities. The new tool allows for emails with specific content to be diverted to designated folders under certain circumstances. Trustifi's pre-configured rules remain customisable and adaptable to meet individual client needs.

Industries such as healthcare and financial services operate under stringent regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA for healthcare and PCI for digital transactions. The pre-configured rules in Trustifi’s tool assist administrators in adhering to these regulations more efficiently, aiding in quicker onboarding processes, effective policy implementation, and enhanced protection against compromised email data.

The pre-configured automated rule set is a result of Trustifi engineers' detailed analysis of successful email cybersecurity configurations used by numerous clients. Trustifi's CEO and co-founder, Rom Hendler, stated, "Trustifi's innovation has been acclaimed throughout the cybersecurity industry, yet we never stop conferring with customers on how to enhance our offering."

"The marketplace is transforming at an amazing pace, and our solutions continue to evolve, addressing new challenges and delivering greater functionality. Enhanced automation and ease-of-use are a continued priority, resulting in one of our community’s most unique and capable email cybersecurity packages. The new, auto-configured DLP rule options are part of that legacy."

Trustifi offers a wide array of API-based email cybersecurity solutions, driven by sophisticated AI technologies. These tools go beyond basic IP address whitelisting and blacklisting, enabling the software to interpret suspicious language, recognise infected attachments and images, and flag keywords indicative of an attack. With the rise of Generative AI, the volume of convincing and sophisticated threats has increased, heightening the need for robust, intuitive AI-based protections.

Trustifi’s reputation in the cybersecurity realm is notable. The company was featured in the 2023 Gartner Market Guide for Email Security for its Outbound Shield, Inbound Shield, and Account Takeover Protection solutions.

Additionally, its products have been recognised by several industry publications and awards, including CRN Magazine, ChannelVision Magazine, MSP Today, the American Business Association, the BIG Fortress Cybersecurity Awards, Expert Insights, the Cybersecurity Breakthrough Awards, SourceForge, and the Golden Bridge Globee Awards. Trustifi's new Email Security Awareness Module was recently named a finalist in the email security category of CRN magazine's Tech Innovators competition.
