AttackIQ launches Mission Control to simplify BAS management

AttackIQ has announced the launch of a new functionality aimed at enhancing its Enterprise Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) deployments. The new feature, known as AttackIQ Mission Control, has been designed to streamline security testing for enterprise customers with distributed teams.

Centralised testing missions within large organisations can become challenging as they expand, particularly when less technical staff members struggle with system use and administration. This issue can lead to slower realisation of the benefits from BAS technology. Continuous security validation, while identifying security gaps, often suffers from delayed remediation, thereby wasting resources, extending risks and undermining the program's return on investment (ROI).

AttackIQ Mission Control aims to address these challenges by enabling security teams to direct and orchestrate testing across distributed workforces more efficiently. The interface allows security administrators to customise and manage testing for various departments, business units, or geographical locations with ease. This streamlined approach allows for faster identification of security vulnerabilities and timely remediation.

AttackIQ asserted that the new functionality would provide business entity insights and analytics. These include coverage and success metrics by MITRE ATT&CK tactic, identification of top MITRE ATT&CK tactics, techniques and procedures not prevented or detected, all presented in a comprehensive test summary dashboard and reporting. The highly simplified interface is expected to lead to faster user adoption and reduced time to find and fix security gaps.

Key features of AttackIQ Mission Control include seamless centralised administration, role-based testing insights, and accelerated testing workflows. Administrators can quickly create unique roles and testing assignments based on specific mission objectives to ensure unified testing efforts. Users are able to view and analyse test results relevant to their unique roles through comprehensive analytics, complete with an intuitive scoring system to guide continuous improvement. The feature also allows users to run and re-run assessments from dedicated workspaces more efficiently.
