Dotlines UK unveils Audra Security for homes & businesses

Yesterday

Dotlines UK has announced the launch of Audra Security, a suite of hardware and software security products aimed at enhancing security and internet usage management for homes and small businesses in the UK.

Audra is designed to simplify internet security, making it more accessible and affordable, while also promoting environmentally friendly practices. The introduction of Audra represents a strategic move by Dotlines, an international technology company operating in 17 countries. Although initially concentrated on South and Southeast Asian markets, including Malaysia, Singapore, and India, the company now seeks to capture the interest of UK homes and businesses.

Audra aims to provide protection for families and small businesses without the need for extensive IT expertise or high costs. The suite's key features include a plug-and-play setup and a cloud-based dashboard for managing network settings and reviewing security information remotely.

The Audra Security portfolio is divided into two segments: Home and Business. For residential users, two products are available: Audra Safe and AudraVPN. Audra Safe is a Wi-Fi router that allows households to manage the security of their smart devices, combining standard router capabilities with additional security features and app-based controls. Parents can group devices and establish rules, such as content blocking or time limits, fostering safe online habits.

AudraVPN is a freemium VPN service designed for individuals concerned with online security while on the move, supporting high-speed streaming for up to five devices on a single subscription.

For businesses, the Audra Secure portfolio provides a straightforward 2-in-1 router and firewall solution that accommodates up to 250 concurrent connected devices. Users can manage these devices and rules from a central cloud-based dashboard. Offered with a simple subscription model and varying pricing plans, Audra Secure is tailored for businesses taking initial steps in securing their operations without requiring a dedicated IT department.

Jaki Chowdhury, CEO of Dotlines UK, stated, "We believe that staying safe online should be a basic right, not a privilege. We're incredibly excited to bring Audra to the UK, where it can empower anyone — from busy parents to small business owners — to take control of their internet security, even if they have little to no technical knowledge."

Chowdhury continued, "Many homes and small businesses are targeted by opportunistic cyber criminals in a scattergun approach because they usually don't have much or any protection. They also don't have the time, knowledge or resources to implement advanced security systems, and they perhaps don't even need such incredibly powerful features in the first place. Audra will protect at a price and simplicity level that anyone can handle and will help to deter the most common of threats."

In line with its environmentally conscious approach, Dotlines UK has pledged to plant up to ten trees for every device sold, contributing to its planet-positive initiatives. Chowdhury expressed the company's environmental commitment, saying, "We're not just here to sell a product, we're committed to creating the biggest possible positive impact, both for the planet and for communities that lack the digital tools many of us take for granted."

He further commented, "Our goal is to democratise internet security. We want to make sure that the benefits of staying safe online are available to everyone, not just large corporations with large IT budgets."

Audra will initially target the home and small business market through technology resellers, managed service providers, and Internet service providers. The company is positioning itself as an accessible option in a field that can overlook users with limited technical expertise, despite their crucial contributions to economic growth. Audra is expected to be available in the UK from early 2025, with plans to expand into other European and North American markets in subsequent years.
