Hexnode has appointed Ben Roberts as Sales Director for Channels and Alliances in the UK. He joins from Sophos, bringing 18 years of cybersecurity channel sales experience.

Roberts will lead Hexnode's UK sales team as it expands, overseeing revenue growth across direct and partner-led business. His remit includes recruiting and supporting channel partners, building strategic alliances, winning new accounts and developing existing customer relationships.

He arrives with a long track record in partner sales. At Sophos, he most recently served as Sales Manager - Channel, leading a team of senior channel account executives responsible for the company's UK value-added resellers.

Earlier in his career, Roberts worked in partner development, national strategic account management and sales leadership. His background also includes working with national resellers, managed service providers and specialist partners on joint go-to-market planning, new business development and account growth.

The appointment is intended to widen Hexnode's UK partner ecosystem and create additional routes to market. The company operates in endpoint management, security and identity, and plans to rely more heavily on the channel as it expands in the UK.

The move comes as software and cybersecurity vendors continue to rely on reseller and managed service provider networks to extend market coverage, particularly in the UK mid-market and enterprise segments. Channel leadership roles have become more important as vendors seek stronger partner recruitment, clearer sales alignment and more consistent customer support.

For Roberts, that work will focus on expanding relationships across the UK reseller and MSP market. His brief combines partner recruitment and enablement with broader sales leadership in a market where software suppliers are competing for partner attention as well as end-customer budgets.

Tim Bell, Vice President of Sales for EMEA & APJ at Hexnode, explained why the company chose Roberts for the role.

"Ben brings something we were specifically looking for: deep relationships across the UK reseller and MSP community, and the discipline that comes from running channel sales in a mature partner organisation. He understands what it takes to build a partner's business, not just close a deal. That's the approach we want at the centre of our UK growth, and I'm delighted he's chosen to build it with us," Bell said.

Hexnode is the software division of Mitsogo and sells tools for device management, user identity and endpoint security. Its products include Hexnode UEM, Hexnode XDR and Hexnode IdP, which are designed to help organisations manage devices, detect threats and control access.

Hexnode serves customers in more than 130 countries. In the UK, the appointment points to a greater emphasis on building an indirect sales structure alongside direct customer acquisition.

That strategy reflects a broader pattern across the security and device management market, where vendors often turn to established channel executives to deepen relationships with resellers and managed service providers. For companies seeking faster market access, experienced partner leaders can bring both contacts and knowledge of how to structure programmes that keep resellers engaged.

Roberts outlined his priorities in his first remarks after the appointment.

"I'm delighted to be joining Hexnode. Having spent 18 years in the channel at a vendor where partner programmes were already mature, I see an opportunity here to help build that from a much earlier stage - and the ingredients are in place: a platform that brings endpoint management, security and identity together, a team that moves quickly, and a partner community that's ready to grow. My focus is on giving UK resellers and MSPs clear plans, consistent support and a reason to lead with Hexnode," Roberts said.
