Jumio partners with LatticeFlow AI for enhanced ID security

Tue, 12th Nov 2024

Jumio has announced a strategic partnership with LatticeFlow AI to enhance AI-driven identity verification and strengthen fraud protection.

The collaboration will see Jumio utilise the AI platform developed by the Swiss-based LatticeFlow to proactively identify model failure modes, improve performance, and boost fraud protection capabilities across the Jumio Platform.

This move comes as the EU AI Act prepares to regulate specific AI systems based on their risk level, necessitating robust compliance strategies for companies like Jumio. By integrating the LatticeFlow AI, Jumio aims to better align with these regulatory standards while continuing its work in AI-driven identity verification.

Alix Melchy, Jumio Vice President of AI, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, "Ensuring that our AI models are both safe and reliable is critical to providing the highest level of protection for our customers. By partnering with LatticeFlow AI, we're taking a proactive approach to identifying potential risks and enhancing the security of our AI models. This partnership is not just about improving performance – it's about staying ahead of industry regulations and ensuring compliance with emerging AI standards."

LatticeFlow's AI Vision will now also assist Jumio in validating model performance and reliability by incorporating state-of-the-art computer vision capabilities to improve model fairness and reduce fraud.

Tom Ulrich, Senior Vice President and General Manager of North America at LatticeFlow AI expressed the mutual benefits of the partnership, commenting, "We are honoured to partner with Jumio to help advance the performance and safety of their identity verification solutions. Our collaboration enables Jumio to accelerate AI innovation, while ensuring compliance with upcoming regulations like the EU AI Act."

This partnership positions Jumio to strengthen its AI-driven identity verification capabilities through LatticeFlow's advanced AI platform, enabling enhanced model reliability and regulatory compliance. As the EU AI Act introduces new standards, Jumio's collaboration with LatticeFlow supports a proactive approach to fraud prevention and compliance, underscoring both companies' commitment to advancing security and performance in AI applications.
