Sat, 23rd Nov 2024

Saviynt has announced the appointment of Tim Mooney as Executive Advisor.

Tim Mooney, a seasoned professional with over 40 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, joins Saviynt to guide prospects and customers through their identity transformation journeys. His role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful onboarding and implementation of Saviynt's Identity Cloud solutions.

Paul Zolfaghari, President of Saviynt, expressed his enthusiasm regarding Mooney's appointment. "We are thrilled to welcome Tim to our team. His unique perspective as both a Saviynt customer and a leader in highly regulated environments will provide valuable insights to our clients and aligns with our mission to help enterprises deploy secure, scalable identity governance programs," Zolfaghari stated.

Mooney's extensive expertise in identity governance and cybersecurity is backed by his notable achievements in the industry. During his tenure at VMware, he was instrumental in building the company's identity program, choosing Saviynt as the sole SaaS-based platform capable of securing over 60 million identities. His leadership extended to automating processes for more than 550 applications and orchestrating identity access management workflows.

Prior to his role at VMware, Mooney dedicated nearly 30 years at Visa, where he was central to the company's identity management initiatives. He contributed significantly to achieving PCI compliance and was integral in unifying B2B enterprise and B2C teams to streamline architectural decision-making procedures.

Mooney's appointment is seen as a strategic move by Saviynt as it scales and brings more clients on board, aiming for strong foundations in its implementation processes.

Reflecting on his new position, Mooney shared, "Having implemented identity governance solutions many times throughout my career, I know the importance of laying the right foundation from the start. The onboarding process is inherently challenging but also presents a significant opportunity to eliminate outdated practices and sanitize data before integrating it into IGA platforms." He added, "I am excited to help clients become self-reliant in the transition from legacy systems to the cloud by establishing a customised foundation focused on proactive controls, allowing for continuous monitoring and alerts for any breaches."
