SentinelOne has been named a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Modern Endpoint Security for Enterprises. The assessment covered its Singularity Endpoint product.

The recognition focuses on SentinelOne's core endpoint protection and endpoint detection and response offering, which combines an on-device artificial intelligence engine with a cloud-hybrid behavioural engine for continuous threat detection and autonomous response.

IDC MarketScape is a vendor assessment model that compares technology suppliers in specific markets using qualitative and quantitative criteria. In this case, the evaluation focused on modern endpoint security for enterprise customers.

SentinelOne said the ranking adds to a series of recent external assessments of its broader security platform. These include a Leader position in the 2025 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Extended Detection and Response Software Vendor Assessment, along with recognition from Latio and an SC Award for Best Endpoint Security Solution.

It also highlighted other testing and certifications involving its platform, including the MITRE ATT&CK Enterprise Evaluation, SE Labs enterprise endpoint security testing, VB100 certification, and AV-TEST macOS agent performance testing.

Public sector focus

The announcement also addressed SentinelOne's standing in regulated and government-linked environments. The company said its Singularity platform holds FedRAMP High authorisation across its Endpoint, Purple AI, CNAPP, and Hyperautomation products, along with GovRAMP authorisation at the High Impact level.

These certifications are relevant for public-sector bodies and regulated organisations facing stricter requirements for procurement, deployment, and data handling. SentinelOne said the platform can be deployed as software as a service, on premises, in air-gapped settings, or in hybrid environments, with data residency support for customers unable to rely on a single cloud region.

SentinelOne has positioned its product around the idea that security tools should operate where attacks occur, rather than relying solely on centralised analysis after activity has already taken place. That approach is reflected in its emphasis on running detection, governance, and response functions close to the endpoint.

Chris Corde, Chief Product Officer at SentinelOne, linked the IDC MarketScape ranking to that design choice.

"Attacks move at machine speed, so defenders need AI that acts at the point of execution," said Chris Corde, Chief Product Officer at SentinelOne. "I believe being named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape validates the approach SentinelOne has taken from the start: keep detection, governance, and response running where the threat actually executes."

Competitive market

Endpoint security remains a closely watched segment of the cybersecurity market as companies and public institutions contend with ransomware, credential theft, and other attacks that often begin on user devices or servers. Buyers are also weighing how much response activity can be automated without losing control over policy, oversight, and compliance.

That has increased attention on products that combine local detection with cloud-based analysis, especially in larger organisations with mixed technology estates and varying regulatory obligations. Vendors are also under pressure to show their tools can work across different deployment models, particularly where customers need to keep some systems isolated from the public internet.

SentinelOne, which is listed in New York, said its security platform provides coverage across endpoints, identity, cloud, and artificial intelligence environments. The company says it protects nearly one-fifth of the Fortune 500 and hundreds of Global 2000 enterprises.

The latest IDC MarketScape result gives SentinelOne another reference point as it competes in a market where independent testing, analyst rankings, and public-sector certifications can influence enterprise purchasing decisions.

Singularity Endpoint remains central to that effort as the company seeks to strengthen its position in endpoint security for large organisations.
