Ververica achieves SOC 2 Type I certification for security standards
Ververica has announced that it has successfully achieved the AICPA Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type I certification.
The certification was audited by Prescient Assurance, a recognised leader in security and compliance certifications for B2B and SAAS companies. This milestone underscores Ververica's commitment to implementing robust security measures designed to protect against evolving cyber threats.
The SOC 2 Type I certification offers an independent assessment of Ververica's security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy controls. According to Sergei Valukhov, Head of Security and Compliance at Ververica, "Achieving the SOC 2 Type I attestation is a significant milestone that reflects our unwavering commitment to upholding stringent security standards across all operations."
Valukhov highlighted that this certification follows closely on the heels of the company's recent ISO 27001 certification.
While the ISO 27001 certification focuses on establishing a comprehensive information security management system, the SOC 2 Type I attestation specifically addresses the company's ability to protect sensitive data through robust internal controls and practices.
"This achievement comes on the heels of our recent ISO 27001 certification, marking yet another important step in our journey to strengthen our security posture," said Valukhov.
The newly obtained SOC 2 Type I certification solidifies Ververica's position as a leader in secure data processing. It ensures that the company's operations remain resilient against emerging cyber threats and that it continues to provide a secure environment for its customers' critical data.
This latest certification affirms Ververica's adherence to stringent compliance standards, thereby showcasing its dedication to building and maintaining trust within the market.
Ververica was the original creator of Apache Flink and offers solutions in real-time data streaming. The achievement of this SOC 2 Type I certification adds another layer of security, enhancing its overall service offerings in the market.
