Westcon-Comstor brings Proofpoint to AWS Marketplace for Europe

Fri, 17th Oct 2025

Westcon-Comstor has expanded its agreement with Proofpoint to enable European partners to access Proofpoint security solutions directly through AWS Marketplace.

The agreement allows partners in the United Kingdom and Europe to purchase Proofpoint offerings via private listings provided by Westcon-Comstor. Partners can then sell these solutions to their customers using a streamlined process that is fully managed within AWS Marketplace. Solutions available through this arrangement include Proofpoint's AI-driven Human-centric Security Platform and Proofpoint Premium Services.

Proofpoint joins several other software vendors, such as Check Point Software, Cisco, CrowdStrike, F5, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks and Zscaler, as part of Westcon-Comstor's AWS Marketplace programme. This programme was introduced last year to give channel partners easier access to software transactions on AWS Marketplace, along with advisory and consulting support from a specialist team at Westcon-Comstor.

The distributor has also added features over recent months to further assist partners, including multi-currency functionality and flexible payment options for AWS Marketplace purchases.

Market growth

Recent research from Canalys, part of Omdia, indicated that spending through hyperscaler cloud marketplaces is projected to reach USD $163 billion by 2030. Channel partners are expected to be responsible for 59% of that total spend, underscoring the significance of the channel in cloud software procurement.

Quarterly AWS customer spend commitments have risen to USD $195 billion, representing a 25% year-on-year increase. Transactions facilitated via AWS Marketplace contribute towards fulfilling these spend commitments, providing another incentive for channel partners to utilise the platform as part of broader cloud investment and security strategies for their customers.

Westcon-Comstor's AWS Marketplace programme is structured to help partners take advantage of these trends, with the distributor highlighting opportunities for faster deal closures and potential for higher returns on investment through the platform.

Proofpoint relationship

The AWS Marketplace agreement is the latest development in Westcon-Comstor's relationship with Proofpoint, which already spans multiple European markets. Earlier this year, Westcon-Comstor became the first Proofpoint Authorised Training Partner in Europe, enabling it to provide Proofpoint-certified education and enablement services to channel partners and end-users in the region.

"We are thrilled to welcome Proofpoint to our AWS Marketplace programme," said Daniel Hurel, Senior Vice President, Westcon EMEA Go-To-Market at Westcon-Comstor. "As end-user buying behaviour evolves, hyperscaler marketplaces - led by AWS Marketplace - are becoming the preferred software procurement route. Our AWS Marketplace programme equips partners to meet this demand, offering a seamless way to transact and deliver value. Collaborating with leading security vendors like Proofpoint strengthens our commitment to helping the channel thrive in the cloud marketplace economy."

Kent Breaux, Senior Vice President, EMEA at Proofpoint, added:

"Expanding our partnership with Westcon-Comstor to offer Proofpoint's solutions on AWS Marketplace across Europe marks an important milestone in how we serve our customers and partners. Together, we are making it easier than ever for organisations to access our comprehensive collaboration and data security packages through the channel they trust. Unlike fragmented alternatives, Proofpoint and Westcon-Comstor deliver complete security for the human layer - helping European organisations seamlessly procure and deploy the protection their people need most."

The agreement aims to provide European channel partners with access to a wider range of cybersecurity solutions, while leveraging cloud marketplaces as procurement channels for software and services.
