Reversec names Åse Holmberg Zetterlund as Chief Executive
Reversec has appointed Åse Holmberg Zetterlund as Chief Executive Officer as the cybersecurity consultancy prepares for a new phase of international expansion.
Holmberg Zetterlund joins from Accenture, where she was a Managing Director. She moved to Accenture after it acquired Sentor Managed Security Services, where she served as CEO.
Reversec said the leadership change supports its strategy to grow beyond existing markets and deepen its work with customers that have complex security needs.
Leadership change
Reversec is a cybersecurity consultancy with three decades of experience. Over time, it has brought together teams and practices from several security businesses, including MWR Infosecurity, F-Secure, WithSecure, Digital Assurance, nSense and Inverse Path.
The appointment signals a focus on scaling consulting services across geographies. Reversec described Holmberg Zetterlund as an executive with experience leading international teams and building security consulting operations in multiple markets.
In a statement, Holmberg Zetterlund said her priorities include stronger commercial execution and more consistent operations across regions.
"It is a privilege to join Reversec at an important point in its journey. My focus is to sharpen our commercial edge while strengthening local presence with consistent global delivery. Reversec has deep technical expertise and a strong heritage. I look forward to working with the team to turn that into scalable growth, stronger market presence, and a culture where performance and collaboration go hand in hand," said Åse Holmberg Zetterlund, Chief Executive Officer, Reversec.
Operating model
Reversec is also emphasising how it organises delivery across markets. It is rolling out an integrated operating model that combines global delivery with local market engagement.
Under the structure, customers will work with local specialists who understand regulatory requirements, business practices and cultural context. Those teams will draw on shared methods and a common pool of expertise across the wider organisation.
Reversec linked the approach to faster execution and greater consistency, and said it expects the model to make services more relevant for customers operating across multiple jurisdictions.
Cybersecurity consultancies have faced rising demand from organisations dealing with evolving regulations, expanding supplier networks and larger technology estates. Many customers also want assurance activity that can be repeated across countries and business units.
Reversec's focus on a unified model reflects this market dynamic. It also underscores competition in advisory and testing services, where firms seek to differentiate through geographical coverage, depth of specialist skills and the ability to manage complex engagements across time zones.
Board view
Tobias Edvardsson, Chairman of the Board, said the appointment is a step towards more consistent delivery across the company's footprint.
"Åse is the right leader for Reversec's next phase: scaling a consultancy built on world-class technical depth into a truly global partner for the organisations that can't afford for security to fail. She brings a rare mix of international leadership, go-to-market discipline, and operational execution. Under Åse's leadership, we'll deliver with greater consistency across all markets and help our customers convert real-world testing into measurable risk reduction," said Edvardsson.
Reversec did not disclose any financial details linked to the appointment or any changes to its board or management team beyond the CEO role. It also did not set out specific target markets or expansion timelines.
Holmberg Zetterlund will lead the next stage of Reversec's growth plans, with increased emphasis on common delivery practices across regions alongside more direct local engagement with customers.
