Bridewell acquires Arculus to amplify public sector cybersecurity

Bridewell, a top UK cyber security firm, has announced its first acquisition of public sector cyber security specialists, Arculus Cyber Security. This marks a significant step in Bridewell's growth, intending to bolster its specialist roster and triple its public sector income. Due to this purchase, Bridewell's workforce will expand by 15%. The acquisition aligns with the company's strategic focus on Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).

Having earned the trust of several prominent CNI organisations and other sectors in need of premium cyber security, Bridewell's extensive array of services encompasses consulting, penetration testing and 24/7 security operations. Their facility allows for managed detection and response capabilities for clients across the globe.

The Arculus founders, Cath Downie, Paul Ellis, and Austin France, shall remain involved in the business to facilitate Bridewell's public sector growth and extension of services. Arculus has already established connections with various central and local government departments, which shall be beneficial moving forward.

TheArculus acquisition not only adds more staff to Bridewell but also boosts the firm's accreditations, which was already the most NCSC assured services provider in the UK. Arculus holds an NCSC Assured Cyber Security Consultancy for security architecture, risk management and audit, and review, as the only consultancy to possess all three. These accreditations will add to Bridewell's growing list.
